We have a little piece of happy news to share.

A KIND OOOF has been nominated for the Honeycombers Best in Singapore Awards 2026 for Best Local Jewellery Brand in Singapore.

When we first heard the news, we were honestly so surprised, and incredibly happy.

To see A KIND OOOF on the list already means so much to us, and it feels especially meaningful to be nominated alongside so many well-established and recognised local jewellery brands.

For us, this nomination feels like a very special little milestone.

We’ve never been very good at being loud

Talking loudly about ourselves has never really been something we are good at.

A KIND OOOF started quietly in 2019 with an online store and a simple idea.

Not long after that, Covid arrived.

Like so many small businesses at the time, we had to figure things out as we went. We started doing online livestreams, talking to many of you through a screen and finding new ways to stay connected.

When things slowly became better, we began joining pop-ups.

And those pop-up days became some of the memories we still hold very close to our hearts.

We met so many of you in person for the first time. Some came back again and again. Some brought us little gifts. Some stayed to chat, shared their thoughts with us, gave us suggestions, or simply told us that they liked what we were doing.

Every time, we felt incredibly lucky.

Those small moments slowly became a powerful source of strength, giving us the confidence to keep moving forward.

Over the years, A KIND OOOF has never grown by making very big, dramatic moves. We have mostly been quietly working, learning, adjusting our direction, and taking one step at a time.

And somewhere along the way, it started to feel like A KIND OOOF wasn’t something we were creating alone anymore.

It became something all of us were creating together.

Every person who visited a pop-up, walked into our stores, placed an online order, joined a workshop, sent us a message, shared a photo, came back for another piece, or simply told a friend about us became a small part of this story.

That is probably what makes this nomination feel so special.

Why silver has always been at the heart of 
A KIND OOOF

There is also a very personal reason why A KIND OOOF began with 925 silver.

I have sensitive skin, and when I was younger, I didn’t understand jewellery materials very well. I wore alloy jewellery simply because I liked the designs, but my ears would often become irritated and uncomfortable.

Later, I discovered 925 silver. For the first time, jewellery felt effortless to wear. And I loved that feeling.

I’ve always believed that my favourite jewellery isn’t necessarily the loudest or most eye-catching piece I own. It’s often the one that feels so comfortable that I barely notice I’m wearing it, the piece that quietly stays with me through ordinary days and slowly becomes part of my life.

That simple feeling became one of the starting points for A KIND OOOF’s daily jewellery.

We wanted to make jewellery that could feel beautiful, personal and easy to live with. Something you could reach for again and again. Something that quietly stays by your side.

Over time, we also started exploring more intricate craftsmanship, creating smoother finishes and longer-lasting shine, while experimenting with different gemstones and natural materials.

As the brand grew, so did our curiosity about how each piece could feel better, wear better, and stay beautiful for longer, while still keeping that sense of ease and simplicity we loved from the very beginning.

Honeycombers’ Best in Singapore Awards celebrates businesses across Singapore, and this year A KIND OOOF has been nominated in the Best Local Jewellery Brand in Singapore category.

The winners are decided by public vote, and voting closes on 31 August 2026.
